Photography exhibition
We presently have a special exhibition at the Mill of photographs taken at the Mill by members of the Bury St Edmunds U3A Photography group.
The exhibition will be in place for the next three weeks.
The Mill will be open on Saturday and Sunday afternoon this weekend and on Thursday mornings thereafter.
Refreshments will be available and there is no charge to view the exhibition.
BREAD MAKING COMPETITION 2026
Thursday 26th November
Entries are warmly invited for this second baking competition, to be held at Pakenham Water Mill, the only surviving working water mill in Suffolk. The head judge will be Simon Wooster of Wooster’s Bakery fame.

Six Biscuits or Cookies
The hand formed loaves will be scored on appearance, flavour and texture with bonus marks for any successful innovation
Bread machine entries will be judged on flavour and texture with bonus marks for any successful innovation, as for the hand formed loaves.
The Biscuits/Cookies will be scored on appearance, flavour, texture with, again, bonus points awarded for innovation.
Entries are free and should be in place between 9am and 10am on the day. Multiple entries are most welcome. Entries may be made on the day but a call to 01359 232025 to register intention would be helpful.
